President's Message
As President of this wonderful organization, I now extend my appreciation to the Officers, Members, Families, Sponsors and Vendors who came together in unity, embracing and giving all for another year in providing the theme: Through Prayer, We Kept Our Legacy Alive.
I thank the NBCL DC Chapter President, and Members in extending great hospitality to returning members, and most of all, welcoming members attending their first National Beauty Culturists' League Incorporated Convention. They expressed their enjoyment in many different ways.
Building upon response I received from so many members, the 99th convention was indeed one that cemented a love for this wonderful organization with a spiritual chain prohibiting breakage. I pray that our FAITH will keep it that way, as we prepare for our 100 year CELEBRATION.
The quality of the National Beauty Culturists' League Incorporated Classes of higher level of education continues to be above the cutting edge in education incorporating technical skills built upon previously taught skills. It is the goal to expose the wonderful students matriculating along the career pathway in higher levels of education moving toward a stable financial independence.
Upon my assuming the position as president in 2004, my paramount concern increased in learning to serve, and how to serve with guidance and wisdom in retaining and maintaining our headquarters located at 25 Logan Circle N.W., Washington, D.C. 20005. WE UNITED, and the BLESSINGS IS SEEN from the tour that was given. Thank you!
Over the years I reached out to you personally to strengthen our organization through dedication as our Pioneers did. You did exactly that, and because of you, WE culminated 99 years because YOU did it for the organization to remain solvent, and I sincerely thank you.
Now, to the wonderful students in the National Beauty Culturists' League Incorporated Classes of higher level of education, your desire to increase your professional skills became a reality as your family members cheered for you as you marched to receive your Degree during the Commencement. It was a moment of pride for your accomplishment, and inspiration for students following in making their own footsteps to become graduates. I congratulate you and welcome you back to matriculate higher in this junction in your life.
I thank every Department for your dedication, because each came together to cement SUCCESS.
Now, where do we go from here? We MUST remember the past years, never to make the same mistakes, keep Jesus Christ first in all that we do. Encourage others to link up with us, treat all as WE wish to be treated by removing the "I" and building on "WE". We must welcome new members and invite past members to reactivate in celebrating 100 years in 2019.
I look forward that the plans for this wonderful organization will be magnified into opportunities that we can all dream about. Let us keep our faith, because God has no limits, no boundaries, HE is able. WE must live with our 2019 theme to CELEBRATE,
and the theme is: THANKS TO ALMIGHTY GOD FOR THE GLORY!!
LOVE & PEACE
