Higher Educational Opportunities NBCL's Institute of Cosmetology offers a higher professional degree (PBA, PMA, DPC) in Cosmetology. A member can earn credits toward a degree through attending the National Institute of Cosmetology.
Greek Affiliations NBCL offers the Theta Nu Sigma National Sorority and the Sigma Nu Theta National Fraternity which offers the highest professional training for those interested in improving the standards in our industry and community services.

NBCL functions through its Programs, State Associations and Local Chapters to help educate thousands of persons in the cosmetology profession each year. NBCL members are trained in the latest trends of the cosmetology profession and taught effective business methods that are essential to running salons effectively.
CLASSIFICATION OF NBCL MEMBERSHIPS
Individual Membership:
Licensed Cosmetologist, Barber, Nail Technicians
Established operators, partners or owner of his/her own business.
Individual members are eligible for all committee participation.
Annual Membership dues: $100
Sustaining Membership Corporations:
Corporations with less than 10 employees
Member companies may have two representatives at each meeting
Company has no voting privileges
Annual Membership dues: $200
Beauty School Students:
Students who are currently enrolled in school, as seniors or graduate students
Students are eligible for all committees
Students must be active on at least one committee
Annual Membership dues: $50
Corporate Membership-Nonprofit
Organizations and corporations with ten or more employees
Member companies may have four representatives at each meeting
Member companies do not have voting privileges
Annual Membership dues: $500
