2021 President's Message
It is with an abundance of appreciation of welcome to you, and from the Staff of the Institute of Cosmetology (IOC), Students, Theta Nu Sigma National Sorority, Sigma Nu Theta National Fraternity, Members, Family and Friends in support of being united in the continuance of the Legacy of the National Beauty Culturists' League Incorporated. You did not allow the Coronavirus (Covid-19) rampage to hinder the progress of the 2021 agenda. Our pride is aroused in the accomplishments as we recognized that an onsite 2021 convention could not occur.
We have a rich Legacy even though we live in challenging times, economic problems, denial of social justice, and equality and political pressure, but our rich heritage enabled this organization to stand always in humility with great confidence to say, "Thanks to Almighty God for another year of Faith that overshadows human fear."
Our Theme: "Faith Perpetuates the Legacy from where we came," gives us strength, patience, confidence ,courage to continue in our progressive mode of survival, regardless of the postponement of THE Convention and the 2021 Region IV Education Seminar, which initially was scheduled for October 2021 in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
We must never become complacent or satisfied with less. We will strive to grow in love, elevating ourselves through education in preparing for future advancement in the beauty industry. As long as there is life in us, there will never be a hopeless day. A students' education through the Institute of Cosmetology (IOC) for chances of success will never be thrown away.
Through Theta Nu Sigma National Sorority and Sigma Nu Theta National Fraternity, the members will continue to grow. By their Faith, they will never allow anything to dissipate their growth, which is to be of service to humankind.
Every Chairperson of Departments has kept their courage up. They believe that it is essential to achieve their goal within their hearts only when they welcome constructive ideas and suggestions given by those under their watch. There certainly is no time ever to think that anyone in this organization can stand alone. There should never be a time not to understand that TOGETHERNESS over ONE HUNDRED YEARS KEPT THE NATIONAL BEAUTY CULTURISTS' LEAGUE INCORPORATED SOLVENT.
Let us pause and reflect on the many pleasures of our long and happy relationship with our Sponsors and Friends. They are a fantastic asset that we must never overlook.
Yes, this has been the beginning of a challenging year, and each day, weeks, or months to come to pass, let us remember that Almighty God is in absolute Control with a Purpose and His Master Plan. Therefore, we must live a life with a sense of responsibility, doing all we can to lift others as we climb in securing a life of financial independency, making the best of our time.
Be assured that I am sincerely grateful to all those who have worked hard to overcome the challenges of 2020 and are now by their Faith will continue to do likewise for the challenges facing us now in 2021.
